Congratulations..

This is a simple tag but I love that about it. I seem to have a thing about blue distress colours and have the stains and inks but don't use them as often as I think I do! The tag was white card and then used anitque paper and faded jeans distress ink and a little pumic stone along the edge. The Flourish is a wooden Tim Holtz stamp and the rosette the large size with a paper from a large bundle I bought at Costco (3 years ago!). The blue button just pepped it up a little. Congratulations was added with my dymo and the adage ticket was lighlty distressed with vintage photo.. Voila!!

New home

Friends of ours recently moved into a new home, it had taken quite a lot of looking for and really seems to suit them as a couple. I whizzed up this tag to give them. Through the arched windowm I postioned dictionary paper with the word "House" and used tumbled glass distress ink to colour the tattered florals die cut flower and the background paper. Wild honey was used for Tim's flourish and the wonderful seedless preervices for "HOME". The letter stamps are "plain and simple" from Stampin up. A good investment and I use them a lot on birthday bunting etc. A bit of bling finished of the flower. I am sure that lots of love and happiness will take place in that house!

I scored an ace!

This was for my husband's birthday, a special one and as normal I was drawn to wild honey and vintage photo distress inks! I just love that colour! The sentiment was a paper artsy stamp and the playing card was a wooden a stamp I picked up somewhere ages ago. I cut the playing card out and used paper distress stain to mellow it a little. Tim's flourish is a well used stamp in my house and came out trumps again.a stema punk charm and a crown finished it off, except for the tiny "love grows" unity stamp in the top right. I do wonder quite how we got this old but hey still having fun!

Delight

This tag I made for a special friend, Gabrielle  it went alongside a sign that I had seen her covert and I think said all the right things for her new craft studio. My daughter and I had lots of fun pretending to say goodbye and sneaking back to the shop to buy our gift. I wated to say how we are delighted at the enjoyment and fun Gabrielle gets out of crafting and how much inspriation she is to us!!

The tag was inked in Wild honey and Aged mahognay distress inks and then stamped with a B line designs - Hot air ship stamp jet black Staz on. The butterfly's rising are from the Dark Room door butterflies collection and gently painted very Aged mahognay. Delight was stamped (bought a long time along and don't have the packaging) and embossed with Black detail Judi Kins embossing powder. I wanted something to finished it off and the yelloow fower seemed right but a bit clean. It's a Parlor Petals Tudor from Prima marketing. Happy crafting in your space Gabrielle.

A stolen hour

Sometimes you just need an hour so to escape.. I took that and produced a few more Christmas tags.
I got to use the Indigo Blu "Rebecca the snow" queen stamp and set of Paperartsy stps that I gave in and bought. The Noel is a Tim Holtz wooden stamp. I really enjoyed myself heat embossing, sticking and using a bit of waste packaging to cut the plastic stamps.

The hold-up!

I haven't been great lately for blogging  - this was the hold-up. I sent this to my sister and then it got stuck at the post office with not enough postage!! Opps, sorry Claire. My daughter went in and bought her first stamp.. unfortunately the wrong amount and it got posted.

It was a thank you for having the children for a few days.. they had big fun including zorbing! The flower is cut from a diet coke can, clear packaging and glittered modege podge fabric. I then alchol inked the aliminum bit. The key is also diet coke can coloured with raisin alochol ink. I used patterned pper for speed and pleased with the results. The stamp verse is from "clocks" 2 (I think) Paper Artsy. My sister and I are very close but we have 12 years age difference and I am so proud to be able to see the wonderful woman she has become.

Christmas started..

Ok I'm a bit slow off the mark for Christmas so I did a couple of tags.





I used a Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas inspiration and cheated a little these cheapie reindeers from Poundstretcher. I used old paper distress stain all over the tag, vintage photo for grunge and pumice stone to darken the sky. I stamped and double stamped snowflakes in chipped sapphire and then spritzed with radiant rain in violet. I a bit of butchers twine and a bell to jazz it up.





The second tags had the same background but then I stamped the creative impressions winter wonderland stamp in jet black stazon. The black bow was from a friends bag of bits she let me rummage through ( thank you Helen). The ribbon in the top was sari off cuts from the wonderful LB Crafts. I feel as though I've started at last and think these tags will look great on my brown paper bags presents!
