This year and last, most of my friends have hit BIG BIRTHDAYS! This tag is for a friend that just loves motorsport and cars!
I used the bumping technique to compse a background and then stamped a sports car in archival ink. Again Wendy Vecchi's wonderful sentiment came out about "Embracing the adventure!" The edges were sanded and lightly distressed with Vintage photo distress ink and the file name plate was acrylic painted roughly then sanded and inked. The big metal numbers said the right thing about 40 - there is no hiding so enjoy it! the added extra was some watch parts glued together to add dimension.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK!!
I think this qualifies for my design team piece for Crafty Boots - Sports Challenge, although more loosely than some connections. Have a go and see what you can enter.
Love the tag and motor sport is such a genius idea! I was really stuck for what to do this time and you'd think, with my pedigree, I'd have remembered cars!!! Fabulous (oh! and happy birthday Nick!)
ReplyDeleteLove this fab and gorgeous tag .
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab idea.
Hugs Emma xx
I love the colours you have used here and the fact that you have gone for a less obvious sport. Great tag.

It's a great tag and I am sure Nick will love it. Motor sport is still a sport! I really struggled and I love sport, just don't have anything suitable in stamp form, lol!!
ReplyDeleteGreat tag! I love the colors and what a great gender neutral theme. It is just lovely. xx Denise
